1. No, I am not willing to give up my privacy if constant government surveillance means a safer life. I say no because everyone needs their privacy, it's like people needing food, you need to have it. Yes, I think America is willing to give up their privacy because we're pretty messed up.
2. Some ways the government controls the people of Oceania are, they make people have T.V.s so they can keep a constant eye on them, and they don't let you think bad of the government. No I don't think this much level of government involvement is ok. I say this because, like I already said people need privacy and people should have the right to think whatever they want.
3. Technology advances the party's agenda in 1984 by the party can keep surveillance on the people with the telescreens. Also they can vaporize people. Finally, they have the phrases that they put on the posters.
4. In some ways technology today is more advanced than in the book. Some ways are, we have things like cell phones, video games, and a lot of other things. On the other hand in the book they have have the telescreens which is a little advanced than today.
7. I think we are a little bit of both. We are in some ways proles and party members. Some people are underclass and don't have a lot of money. But other people have a lot of money and a lot of control.
