1. Are you willing to give up your privacy if constant government surveillance means living in a safer country? Does America seem to be willing to give up their privacy? Why?
I am not willing to give up my freedom for a safer country because i would ask myself if i have no freedom am i really safe , yes america is willing to give up their freedom most don't even know they would america is free but also corrupt soon no one will be free anymore because the government is becoming much more selfish and controlling.
2. Is technology today more or less advanced than it is in the book? Is this a good or a bad thing?
Technology is far more advanced than expected today. It is also much more advanced than in the book, I don't really know if that's a good thing or if it is a bad thing because this book is portraying the future.
3. How does technology allow people to violate other people’s freedoms? Is the loss of privacy partially self-imposed?
Technology allows people to violate other people's freedom because all your information is able to be accessed and if someone know's everything about you that could make you and easy target easily saying that you are no longer free also with that being said i believe technology was created for far better use than it is being used for today i believe certain technology is made to take away your freedom.
4. Are we "Proles" or "Party Members"?
we are proles we are distracted by technology created by the government to pull our minds away from the bigger picture in society our social media is basically the telescreen in this book.
5. “Who controls the past controls the future; who controls the present controls the past.” What does this quote mean? Do you agree with it? this quote means what happens in the past is the reason for what happens in the future the past is there to create the future and yes i agree with this quote because my daily motto is Everything happens for a reason.
