1. How does technology advance the Party’s agenda in 1984?
Answer-Mind control, the party trying to controls everyone.
2. Is technology today more or less advanced than it is in the book? Is this a good or a bad thing?
Answer-Our technology is less advanced than 1984, this is good so our privacy isn't invaded. our community doesn't need anything to tell our every move.
3. “Who controls the past controls the future; who controls the present controls the past.” What does this quote mean? Do you agree with it?
the past happens for a reason which affects the future. i agree with the quote because everything happens for a reason.
4.Are you willing to give up your privacy if constant government surveillance means living in a safer country? Does America seem to be willing to give up their privacy? Why?
no i would never give up my privacy. i don't want to have the government up my butt, stalking me just because. i'd rather have privacy than be as safe as everyone thinks they will be.
5. When people are stripped of their ability to express a thought, do they lose the ability to formulate one?
no because you have to think or give thought in order to speak or do something, you cant do something without thinking of doing it. thought and showing feeling through thought i feel are two different things. but the thought of doing something is different from feeling something or letting feeling get the best of body language.
