Technology is less advanced in the book but the issues of government control vs personal freedom still exist in today's society. This is a bad thing because technology advances but the people do not.
5. How does technology allow people to violate other people’s freedoms? Is the loss of privacy partially self-imposed?
Technology allows the party to continuously spy on the masses at random times. The loss of privacy is the people's fault for not going against the government before it got too powerful
